My owners manual for my 2357 says the original prop was 14 1/2 x 17P. It currently has a 15 1/4 x 15P. I would like to change from a 3 blade to a 4 blade. Should I try to match the original prop dimensions, or should I try to match the current prop? I know about the whole WOT aspect, but I haven't yet been able to hit WOT yet. It's nothing mechanical, I just don't want to push it that fast especially with the family on board. I currently do about 23 to 25 mph at about 3300 rpm. I'm not an experienced boater yet so anything faster than that starts to scare me a little, lol. Back to the props, I'm currently looking at a 4 blade 14 1/2 x 17P. Any thoughts on this idea? I read somewhere that when going from a 3 to a 4 blade, you should drop the pitch by 1. Problem is I haven't been able to find a 14 1/2 x 16P. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Go to a good prop shop and let them advise you as to what will work best on your boat and yes, you need to know your WOT with a fairly lightly loaded boat. You also need to know what the engine's recommended WOT is. If you aren't at mfg's WOT, is it because you don't have the right prop or is your engine not running at peak performance?
