The original owner of our 356 MY changed the props. from three blades to four.

I feel that the props may be the wrong size as the engines can not get over 4000 RPMs.

The props are 23" in diameter.

The engines are fuel injected 454 Merc, 380HP

Does anyone know what size props would be correct?

Assuming everything else is ok (engines running good, clean bottom and running gear), you can take an inch or two off the pitch and get your RPM's up another 300-400.
Consult with a good prop shop.

I have a 6.2 merc on mine that a local prop guy speced out for 21" x 21 pitch four blade. Hope this helps.

Joyful, My 1999 356 has 4 blade 21's FWIW. I assume they are factory. Merc MPI 7.4's. I can get just above 4K. --Scott

I know he replaced them, after running into some rocks, but I'm not sure if he replaced them with the original size. It would appear that most 356 have 21" props.

I suggest you call Carver, and provide them the model, engine, trans and trans ratio. They will be able to provide to you the proper wheels for that boat. Also ask what the the WOT should be.
