I just installed a high rise manifold to replace the standrard rise that was on the motor...1990 mercruiser 260hp, couldn't get the standard rise. Also replaced the qjet with a rebuilt. I seem to have a problem getting it to idle properly...any suggestions on mixture with a high rise manifold? It will only run with the throttle (in neutral) forward to keep at around 1100 rpm. When I pull the throttle back to the center position it just dies. I tried the directions I have found...turn the mixture needles in until they seat then back out one full turn (no good), tried 1.5 turns (seemed better) but still won't stay running to set the idle speed screw.
