Hogan,

Followed with much interest your aquisition of a boat in FL. Now I may have found one of my own. Would you mind posting the name of the shipping company you used? I found the thread where you talked about the price but I don't think the name of the shipper was ever mentioned.

And if anyone else has the name of a reputable shipper, feel free to post..

Good luck with the boat. FYI, I had luck negotiating the shipping cost as a seller's expense.

I posted on U-ship and received a lot of offers, some of them got nasty when it appeared I was contemplating a shipper other than them. Ultimately, I used C-Line, they were competitively priced, picked the boat up on time, kept me advised of the progress and dropped it off as promised, with no hidden charges.

I would not hesitate to use them again.

as for negotiating shipping costs I'll keep it in mind. But they accepted an offer 33% below asking which was already at the very bottom of the market so I don't think there's much room left!
