I have a couple of questions. The new "to me" 1979 Trojan has an upper and lower station and the ignition switch is replaced with a toggle on/off switch in the lower station and there is a push button starter switch at both stations. The surveyor had to come down off the flybridge to shut the boat down. There was a note in his survey about this. What would be this board's recommendation as to the correct installation. Would I install a keyed switch (w/start position) at each station and wire them similar to a 3-way switch in a house where either switch could start and stop the engines.

Also, I am installing a permanent fire suppression system in the engine room and I'm wondering should I install the manual release switches at both stations, at the lower only or is the manual release needed.

Finally, do I install the gas fume detector at the lower station only or should I install one at each station.

Thanks for the help.
