Planning on going to this again this year, it was fun last year but my anchor broke free around 1:30 and we just headed back. THis year, new boat, new anchor, should be fun with no problems.

That sounds new & interesting....where do you watch it from the water? I only saw land directions on the website.
 
Yup, most boats (there were appr 200 or so last year) anchor just off the end of the airstrip at Quonset point. The CG has the water marked pretty well (and they patrol the lines) where vessels are allowed to pass through and anchor. it gets a little bumpy with the traffic moving in the middle but it was pretty fun. The planes work directly above the anchor area so you won't be sleeping....

There's another post from last year with other information about where you can watch the show from. We chose to be right in the thick of it.
