Radar Arch Vendor needed

Was hoping people could suggest a good vendor to re-paint/ coat my radar arch. Had some pitting that created a spot that needs to be re-done.

We're on the south shore in the Massapequa area. Usually know some good people in the Amity/ Lindy area. Tried the people at Raybo but they just don't seem to be interested in doing the job.

Thoughts? Thanks!
 
My advice is whomever is recommended, do your homework on the procedure and vendor.
 
I took mine off myself and brought to my auto body guy.
Came out great.
 
Is the arch already powder coated? If it is it requires stripping and that is a labor intense job. I agree if you can remove it and bring it to a body shop you will have a better chance of a good job. Powder coating will fail if the prep isn't done right. The other problem with powder coating is the oven to bake the finish has to be big enough for your arch. Body shops can spray and bake your paint finish and it will come out like auto quality.
 
Big thread on this on another site. Apparently, dissimilar metals such as an aluminum arch and stainless screws/bolts need to be isolated from each other or a reaction will cause that bubbling/corrosion that screws up powder coating on aluminum surfaces.

Just something to think about when you re-install.
 
Appreciate the suggestions. The arch is powder coated. Being totally honest, I am not mechanically inclined enough to be able to remove the arch myself and take it to a body shop. That's why I was hoping for Raybo to manage it all.

Marks post is probably over most heads here, what he posted is what I was referring to and more. Go to whomever, but just understand ARE threads. If not, you will be revisiting this soon :)

Powder coating is an art, those that know this art will educate you, any smuck can deliver a product that looks good, do YOUR HOMEWORK!
