Radar Problem

We've been using the Raytheon successfully for the past 5 years,worked like a charm. I don't know if it is original,1990 but I think so. The antenna is rotating just fine, but doesn't seem to be getting to the display. Just garbage shows up.
Mechanic installed new batteries last year & it seems like it never worked after that. Could that be the problem? Fuse? or maybe just shot?

Any ideas?

Check that the batteries are installed correctly. One in the wrong way and nothing works.

I agree check the connections. Do you see any display at any time such as when you first turn it on and it is tuning? This topic would get more response in the electronics section as your radar is not specific to Carver.

Thanks Bruce, we'll check it as soon as we can get to the boat (probably MAY!)
It does seeem to be trying to tune, but isn't.
