On my old boat I had a Stainless Magma grill. It was one of the small round ones that mounted to the rail. I was less than thrilled with it more due to size than anything else. Does anyone have a recommendation for a larger gas grill that I can mount to my rear railing on my new houseboat? I am looking for one that can survive outside in the weather so I am thinking of stainless or cast aluminum.

Thanks!

I'm very happy with my Magma. They are pricey but seem to hold up very well. I have had some of the round ones in the past and they never seemed to stay lit in any kind of breeze and the lids were a PITA. I haven't experienced this with the larger rectangular ones.

I have the Magma Catalina. Love it over the round models. In 10 years, no issues other than replacing the burner pipe, which is easy to do. I use the fish mount rail to secure it to a rod holder on my taft rail but they have several mounting options.

I always used a rail mounted bait cutting board and sat a Weber Q on it. Worked wonderfully well.

Best way to go if not dealing with the boat rocking.

My boat has a Dickinson Sea-b-q. Works pretty good. Rebuilt it once in eight seasons. I store it at home during the winter. Boat also has a Dickinson propane heater that works really well. Never had to do anything to it. Speaks to the quality of Dickinson's products.

I mounted my Weber Baby Q to a piece of black starboard.

Mounted the starboard to a Magma gimbal mount that goes into the rodholder.

Best damned combination I have ever seen or used !!!!

The Weber grills I know are charcoal. Are these gas?

I'll look into the Dickinson products as well.

Thanks

+1. On the Weber Baby Q

I have mine mounted on a pole mount cutting board..

They work great in the wind and use 1 lb propane gas bottles
