Does anyone know why the pump out's listed in the guide are not up to date?
During the last weekend in July we forgot to check our tank level and found out after leaving the marina we needed to pump out.
After getting to the Walnut Grove area Sunday morning we pulled out the map only to find that it was incorrect and nowhere on the Sacramento in Walnut Grove area that we could pump out.
This really does not help promote clean boating. I think what really got me peeved was either you could pump out during the week or by appointment. When should these places be open, during the weekend when most boaters are on the water I would think? What about pumping by appointment? Who plans that far ahead to know they need to pump out on a given date?
Shouldn't this be something that needs to be supported by the state to help promote clean water?
