I know a lot of you have been here. This is from the Key West Citizen this morning. If you're near water, you're near rats.

"KEY WEST - The Schooner Wharf Bar was allowed to reopen Wednesday after state officials shut it down because of rats.
"Department of Business and Professional Regulation agent Douglas Morgadanes ordered the bar closed Tuesday night after seeing fresh rat droppings. Police were called when bar owner Paul Worthington refused to shut down.
"Worthington stated that the violations occurred in the kitchen area, and he did not feel that they should shut down his bar as well," a Key West Police Department report states.
"Authorities explained to Worthington that the restaurant and bar operate under the same business license. They also told him if he did not comply, he automatically would not be complying with the state Division of Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco, which regulates liquor licenses. Worthington closed the bar at 9:30 p.m.
"Morgadanes found 100 fresh rat droppings on the shelves in the preparation area of the kitchen and 300 droppings in a cabinet located within 5 feet to 10 feet of the kitchen, state Department"
