I've got a Raymarine C80 (had since last year, great deal from Boatfix). Yesterday, we were underway and I noticed that it was not giving me a speed reading or a moving boat icon, yet it was giving me time of day as well as the continuously changing longitude and latitude coordinates (so I figured the antenna had to be working).
I turned the unit completely off (including the breaker switch at the helm) then powered everything back up. Suddenly, it's finally showing speed and the correct boat position. Has anyone else experienced this with a Ray C series? Why would powering the unit up again clear up the problem?
