Was on the river from the Point northwards Monday and the leaves along the banks are just now approaching peak. Forecast says lower 60s Friday so perhaps another outing in this extended season is in the cards. For me, this is the time of year for being out on the water. Holds me over till I start jonesin' in the spring. Maybe we'll see you out there!

Yeah, most people don't realize that due to the warmer temperatures the leaves along the River proper don't peak until right about now. Its always the most colorful on the Rondout on the weekend we pull the boats out. Hope you had fun!!!

Was gorgeous on Sunday! I was afraid the bad weather would've knocked down too many leaves, but it was fantastic!

Glad to hear it's colorful a bit further north - we cruised near Peekskill yesterday, and were suprised as to 'how green' the Jones Point area still was! Looks like it's 'not quite peek' down here yet.

BTW - the line for fuel at Haverstraw was remeniscent of the gas-lines in the '70s under the Carter Administration . . . looks like everyone wanted one-last-hurrah. Anyone know why Panco would be closed at 1:00 on a Sunday?!?

Because very few people want to pay their inflated prices.

If they continue to raise prices every time the wind blows as well as price them self's .50-.75 cents higher than Haverstraw then most people I know will never use them again.

Panco has been closed for a couple of weeks now
