Oh, that's a low blow... but I did ask for a new extension cord for Christmas!

We're not done yet :D. Oops cheap shot... But last check we put 200 hours on the engines.

Congratulations on your crossing Dan. Sounds like you had some good conditions for it.

Butch thanks. Deb was a little green for the first half since it was 1-2 square on the beam. But it laid down completely and we set the auto pilot and let 'er go for three hours at 10 knots. We were always on watch. About all we saw going across were flying fish and portuguese man o'war. We were never out of sight of other boats. I feel as though we could not have asked for better conditions, but maybe wind out of the east or west, or another foot and a 1/2 of beam would have helped. All said it was roughly 7 hours average spped 9 knots.
We pulled in and filled out a mess, I mean a mess of paper, and then proceeded to the manager's cocktail party (regular on Fri.) where we ate and drank for free. But, as we all know, there are still dock fees. 1$/foot + 10$/day water + 21.5/day elect. Maybe 1.75 a foot? Given the locale, it beats the heck out of the east coast and most places we have stayed.
We'll have photos later in the day at photobucket.

4/26 - 10/18

48.5 hours on engines
24 nights on boat
45 days on boat
586 gallons of gas

I want to know how you guys burn less then 16 gallons an hour. I only wish, I think I burn about twice that. But it's all in the name of fun or so I'm told!

Never exceed 800 rpm idling over to Croton or Bowline?

I always try to go downhill. Saves a lot of fuel that way. Drafting sailboats can net you quite a bit of savings as well.

4/1 - 10/18

few weekend days at Croton.

One over night in Croton.

8 times overnight :(

20 hours maybe

Did not go past the TZ or Bear Mtn bridges.

Lost count of the beer/wine/vodka/cigars

All of that for how much in mortgage/marina/storage fees? Sounds like I got jipped.

Hopefully the new year will be better. Still searching for a slip somewhere.

My burn is the average.
I will cruise 35 min to a cove on a typical weekend.
During that 35 min, only 10 min are spent at cruise.
Other time is 5 mph zones, anchoring, docking, etc.
This averages down the burn numbers.

All this talk about gasoline makes me ill, but at today's prices I'm already looking forward to next year!

Glad you made it across safely, Dan!!!

So Pete, why don't we ever see you down at one of our raft-ups?
