When boatfix was running the recent special on the Standard Horizon !0" chart plotter I could not pass up the oppurtunity for our Sun Dancer 310. Now I will have a stand alone chart plotter and radar.
My question is this; inorder to install both unity; nearly every installed electronic unit needs to be relocated. I have been told that I have tow options:
1. Have the beige gelcoat of the dahs repaired to look like new. Cost = $$$$$$ Looks http://www.boatered.com/forum/image...//www.boatered.com/forum/images/icon_mi_6.gif
2. Install a matching burlwood veener plate to install all electronics much like speedometer, and tach etc.
My question is this; where can this veneer be sourced from? Is this a standard marine product? I know that the match will not be 100% but until we determine where we want the electronics this seems to be the safest bet.
As always; thanks in advance.
