regal 2200 with 5.7 GXI DP

does anyone out there own a 2200 regal with a 5.7 GXi DP 320 hp ?? just wondering your thoughts on performance before i seal the deal..

any advice would be appreciated, i really am stuck on engine type!
 
I have a 2450 with a Merc 350 Mag BIII outdrive and I can hit 54mph as displayed on my GPS. I would think with that combo you should be able to get near 60mph, but I am sure that there is someone on here with your model and something close to your engine package that can give you the invo you seek.
 
I own a 2200 with a Mercury 350 mag 300 hp with a bravo one out drive. Turning a 21 pitch four blade with full fuel I am able to GPS 54mph. I am really impressed with this set up. I owned a Regal 2000 before this boat with a 5.0 Volvo and I was really let down on its performance. The 5.7 is the only way to go in my mind. You won't be disapointed at all with the 5.7 and to have a few more ponies than I do would be even better. Over the summer I was able to pull up three adult kneeboarders along with having 7 people in the boat at the same time with no problems. The boat pulls very strong. Let me know if you need any more info on the 2200.
 
I have a 2400 with that exact engine and drive set up - goes great, so in yours - will be even better!!!! Go for it - enjoy!

I had a 2006 2200 with 5.7 Gi (not Gxi) DP. The thing pulled incredibly hard. I lost a little top end, but wow what fun to operate. It also made water sports real fun. Quick hole shot and pulling a large tube with 4 riders was no big deal.

Definitely a good power/weight combo.
