I noticed that alot of the trailers in the lot at the marinas don't re-register their trailers, I saw some as old as 2002 and when I bought mine in 2012 it came with an inspection sticker. Do you re-register/inspect yours?

In NJ they stopped giving out license plate stickers in 2006 for all trailers and vehicles personal or commercial.

mines been expired for ever ... its only used 2x a year . No inspection required

when we had boats we did the same as Rob.....only used 2x a year and never re-registered. Sometimes one of us would drive behind the trailer so the sticker wasn't visible to most.

I don't even have papers for my skiff trailer. Guess I'm gambling whenever I tow but I have had police cars pass me by, they don't seem to care there is no plate.

I made the mistake of registering my trailer for $115. at the end of November only to have to register it in December again for $115., you would think they might say something about it huh?

VA has a permanent trailer plate. No stickers. $56 and go forever.

Inspections are up to the owner. I see too many on the roadside that tell me too many haven't figured that part out yet!

I register mine in Maine. Much cheaper then my home state of NY, no inspection and can register for five years.

Always took tag off another trailer and put on boat trailer.

Looks like I should register my trailer in Virginia!
