I just purchased a used RIB, and need to remove the former owner's registration letters so I can put on my own. They are painted on. The RIB is made of Hypalon, I don't know what kind of paint was used for the registration letters.
The only thing I can think of is to paint over the old letters with gray (the rib is gray), and then paint my own over it. This will end up looking kind of sloppy. Do any of you clever boaters out there know of a technique to remove painted letters from a RIB?
