I just removed the sterndrive on my boat, but was not in forward when I removed it. What problems will this give me?
I am also curious how you know a U-joint is bad? When I moved the sterndrive left-right, or up-down, then I would hear the grinding noise. The gimble bearing looks fine. The U-joint doesn't feel like its 'grinding'. Everything else looks fine.
