removing refrigerator 3608

Greetings to all. I am a long time RO on this site that recently purchased a 1992 3608 ACMY. The purchase is so recent that the craft is still at the marina where I bought the boat getting needed repairs done before transport to my location. I am facing replacement of the refrigerator, a Norcold DE560. A dock mate with a 406 swears that he can not get a Norcold out of his cabin door and that I will not be able to get it out of mine as well. Can anyone attest to a yea or nay on getting the old one out and the new one (DE0061) in my 3608?
 
How wide is your door? The Norcold is 24" deep with the door installed. Less with out the door.
 
I don't yet have the boat at my marina so I am asking if anyone has witnessed a Norcold removal/replacement on a 3608.
 
When I recently replaced the frig in my 3807 ACMY, I had to remove the entry door and frame. This allowed less than an inch clearance, but we were able to carfully get the frig through the opening without taking the frig apart. I'd bet that the 3608 has the same deminsion door.

Thanks for your response. I was thinking I might have to take the doors off.
 
Wouldn't it be easier to take the door and hinges off the refrigerator?

I may have to strip the doors off the refrigerator as well as take the cabin doors off. I will know more when I get the boat and am able to get some measurements. Thanks to all that have responded
 
I have a 1990 3608. And replaced the fridge several years ago. Take the doors off the fridge and it will go up the stairs and out the salon door no problem. I replaced it with a Norcold DE-0061 unit. Its about 2 in deeper than the original unit. Just buy 3 pieces of (in my case teak,to match existing trim) 1x3in stock and extend the opening frame outward.Its not noticeable or in the way of anything once installed. But the extra fridge space sure is nice.
 
Sorry checked my notes. The Norold is the one i did not go with. Installed the Dometic RPD-190 12V DC and 110 AC. Works very well.
