Removing Yellow water stain from hull

Apologies if this was asked before, but I'm trying to find out what to use to remove those yellow water stains on the hull that come from air conditioner cooling water. I've tried soft scrub but it did not work. Someone suggested 50% vinegar-50% water. What do you think?
 
I used 100% vinegar and it worked great - cheap and as environmentally-friendly as you can get. I'm curious to hear why it should be diluted...
 
Try On-Off, it works great. I posted on here before to a boater that had some oil stains, check that post.
 
Always use white vinegar for cleaning anything. The apple cider or red wine will leave their own stains. You might try making a paste with dishwasher soap, or just using liquid dishwasher soap. It is gentle, and has a bit of bleach in it. I have used this for getting the calcium stains and spots off of windows and it works great. Good luck.

On-off contains oxalic acid. I buy the same stuff much cheaper as toilet bowl cleaner. No scrubbing needed, but wear gloves and glasses. I get mine at "Dollar Tree".
 
Yeah, do it the Dollar Tree way or do it the right way in 1/4 the time with on-off.
 
Reg- I've used On-off and believe me, they both work exactly the same. If buying the "marine" product is your way of doing it right, then be my guest.
 
I've said it a thousand times and will keep doing so, Sno-Bol, toilet cleaner is the miracle cleaner for stained hulls, dirty or rusted props, etc. Cheap, squirt it on, rinse it off, then wax if you want to. Easiest and cheapest ever.
