Replace back to back seats with pedestal

Hi,

Any advice on replacing back to back seats with a captains chair. I believe my floor is wood or some sort of molding. Not sure yet. What is the best way to fix the pedestal to the floor. I can't get under the floor so I will drill holes. Any advice would be helpful. Anyone know a good seat? Reasonable in price?
