Replace Volvo XDP drive

Looking at a used boat that currently has a 2009 Volvo 8.1 GI 375 HP engine with (Oh no!) the dreaded XDP drive. The Volvo dealer has agreed to replace the drive for me. Boating in salt water so I asked for the Ocean X drive. However, now that I think about it, is it possible to retrofit a Merc. Bravo III to the Volvo engine? if so, any warranty issues with the new drive?
 
If they are going to replace the XDP with an Ocean X for no money, do it. The cutouts etc for the B3 are different and B3's have their own set of problems. The Chap owners site has a lot of information on it.
