The fluid in my Volvo 290 outdrive trim/tilt system is a bit cloudy. I had a problem with the seal between the pump tank and motor and most likely got some water in. Replacing the pump seems straightforward, but what's the procedure for getting rid of the cloudy ('milky'?) fluid in the system? Is there a procedure for bleeding/purging the system without pulling the boat? I'm hoping I can disconnect one hose from the pump, pressurize the other one, collect the fluid, and repeat with the other hose. Is there a better way? Thanks in advance.
