I've got a Mainship 350 trawler with an OEM Jabsco head mounted on a fiberglass inner shell. I've got 7.5" deep platform to mount the toilet on. The Marine Elegance requires a 9.76" deep platform.

The question is, does anyone know of a work around for this? Or maybe an optional footprint for the marine elegance.

Thanks,
David

At the back of the platform, does it flare out as it goes up, or does it rise straight up? The actual depth required for the Marine "Elegance" is 12 1/4" if the wall goes straight up at the rear. If it flares out as it rises, you can probably use Starboard or marine plywood on top of the existing step, to extend it out a couple inches. But if it rises straight up at the rear, there won't be any way to fit a Marine "Elegance" in that spot.

Yeah, Vic, it flairs back to 15" from the front edge which would leave 2" hanging over the existing step. If the rear of the toilet housing could be trimmed off at an angle it would look custom. The back angles back at a 45 and then goes straight up. It's mitered like because its against the boat hull.

The whole toilet is ceramic, while I won't say it can't be trimmed, I don't know of any way that it can be - without risking breaking it...
