Keep the boat at Haulover. We've tried Bayside, Mia Beach Marina, Shuckers (did they fix the dock yet?), Flicker Lite, and Opa. What have we missed that you guys like?

Just north of Port Everglades is the 15th Street fisheries, decent place with dockage, down that canal is Southport Raw bar - A GREAT place for seafood (dockage can be tight).
If you head just a little further north - you can take a nice cruise thru the new river - dock a Riverfront - there are a couple of good places there. Just before riverfront is the Downtowner saloon (not sure if they have dockage), and just after riverfront is Shirttail charlies (strong current there).

Las Palmas ( 5 star great food) in just north of the flicker lite and le tub.... it has the palm thatched roof... also the roof top hotel is across the street!!! (clothing optional rooftop pool and it gets crazy there too.

Based on your post, I tried Las Palmas yesterday. It had been a year or two since I had been there. We didn't think the food was anything special, but it sure was pricy. I think I'll stick to Le Tub when in this area. You have to wait an hour for that great burger, but it is sure good when it finally comes.

Did someone say "clothing optional"?
I had no idea. I sure would like to try it. I have only gone to Caribbean clothing optional places. Never tried one in the US, I know they have a clothing optional beach near haulover but no idea about a pool at Las Palmas.

Las palmas isn't clothing optionalthe large pink hotel across from it call the rooftop is though and at night it gets busy and out of control... i couldnt agree with you more the las palmas has gone downa little in quality and i just found out that even if you go via boat woman cannot wear bathing suit tops... (no bathing suit tops on the water dining in south florida???? couldnt figure that one out either. (someone should start a clothing optional boating club in south florida ...hmmm (sounds like something to invest my time in)

i've often been disapointed by the food in most waterfront places... just walking by Boater's grill at No Name Harbor, i find the stench of grease discusting ! i've eaten there a few times, food is average, service stinks.

while i have a full size galley on board and can cook just about anything, on a smaller boat even preparing a large salad at home is a better option than paying high prices for so so food.

The already is a clothing optional boating club in South Florida. Check out xxxxxx if interested. A quote from their site:

If you like boating...
If you like Swinging...
If you like being naked...
If you like Nude Recreation...
If you like the great outdoors...
If you like to PARTY on the water...

Then The
"Beautiful Life"
is for YOU! Welcome

And no...I haven't been there. I'm on the west coast of Florida. Just found them on the internet.

Looks like it is east coast. Judging from the photos on the website, they spend at least some of their time gathered on the two small spoil islands just north of the Broad Causeway and west of the Haulover inlet.

sorry guys... that link had to go... some of the pics were way too explicit to be linked to...

I met a few people from that club on the Haulover sandbar. Two guys and a woman. Swingers. The woman was hot. No way I would share her with other men. They told me that they meet once a month at some island, but they didn't go into detail. They told me about the club, but never really promoted it to me.

OH yeah, back to restaurants. The only one I've eaten at was in Hollywood, but I can't remember the name. It has a tiki look and often has a live band there. The food and service is nice. Once I was eating there and this guy pulled up in a go-fast with a bikin babe. I got up and went to help out with the docking as the babe was climbing over the bow with the rope. She threw me the rope and whispered "Thank you. I would have made and idot of myself, as I had no idea what to do with it."
