Restoring a painted hull

My "new" boat was previously painted (reportedly Awlgrip) and it looks pretty "flat". Washing with boat soap really didn't help restore any shine. Also, a few "dock rashes" exist. I understand Awlgrip has a special touch up product for the scratches; how do I get a decent looking shine back?

You could try wax or some of the other products they use on fiberglass boats.

Personally I'd simply repaint. Ask the Admiral about all the advantages of a fresh coat of paint.

If it is Awlgrip, you need to wash it well with AwlWash then coat it with the Awlgrip sealer.
