In my 1988 OMC Cobra 5.7 Ltr outdrive, I am not getting water flow from the lower outdrive inlets to the water pump in the upper drive unit.
THE LOWER OUTDRIVE UNIT WAS REPLACED TWO YERAS AGO. THE BOAT HAS BEEN SITTING AT MY DOCK EVER SINCE.
I have removed the pump and am getting unrestricted flow from the thermostat end of the water hose to one of the openings in the pump adapter plate.
After cleaning the crud off the water inlets on either side of the underwater lower outdrive, and using a hose through a "muff" attachment, I have zero flow through the other orifice in the pump adapter plate.
Any Ideas??? Help!!
