My boat deler is going to be replacing my manifolds and elbows with OEM, They told me the spacers(riser) looked good, I saw them and did not notice any rust build up or scaling tey didn't even look rusty inside and they looked like they plenty of meat between where the water goes and exhoust goes. Actually the mainifolds did not look that bad either (but I am going to replace them) but I could tell it was time for the elbows. Anyway to save me a little money they told me that the riser did not need to be replaced at this time. I just wanted to know your opinions on this or if any one has done it this way. The boat is a 2001 with 5.7 merc engine and in salt water 6 months of the year. I just bought it in august and don't know if it was fresh or salt water ran before. I don't want to be fulish and not replace it but if it is not needed I would like to save the money.

Thanks
