is it okay to use either one?
have a 1982 merc 260 5.7 350
the merc manual says the carb on on that thing should be a rochester qjet manu# 17057298... when i ordered my reman carb last year i requested that manu#..
i just checked out the reman and it is manu# 7027157.. found that # on a site and looks like its for a 1968 oldsmobile 400/425 engine..
is there a major reason why i cant/shouldnt use that carb on my merc 260? i dont know enough about carbs or the rochester manu#s to understand the functional difference between the two..
