Rocker switch

The rocker switch that raises and lowers my stern drive is stuck and I cannot raise the unit. It still activates when I press the side that lowers it but it will not click over to the side that raises it. Suggestions?

I`ll take a guess not knowing what you have,but sounds like the limit switch or a solenoid.
If you have a "trailer" switch, does that work?

Actually I gave bad information. The switch that is stuck is the one that allows the outdrive to come all the way up for trailering and not one on the throttle that activates the normal up and down while on the water. Also if I have to hotwire the outdrive lifting motor I think, if I remember correctly, that a wire from the positive battery terminal to the blue wire on the outdrive motor should bring it up....is that correct. The unit is a Trophy, 5.7 engine and alpha one mercruiser outdrive
