Almost forgot about this one.
So we are in Hemlock. Wife is on boat and Gizmo and I are on beach. Twice, 2 different boats come in and run over my anchor line. One guy snags it and has to reverse. Noone cuts it and I didn't see any cuts.
So here is the question. If someone cuts your line and boat breaks free and beaches, what is his liability assuming he sticks around and if he doesn't and gets caught later, is that the same as leaving the scene of an accident?
I guess this is a good reason to get all chain! I did have a lot of rode out because we came in at high tide and I knew I would shorten it as the tide went down but length of my rode should not matter.
