Can anyone recommend a good polish/protectant for stainless steel railings? Thanks. John

Clean it with Turtle Wax chrome polish or Flitz.

Collinite paste wax or Zaino (zainostore.com) after polishing .

I have a bunch of s/s on my boat and have tried a wide variety of things. the boat gets a lot of exposure to salt water. Best overall so far is Collinite liquid metal wax (light brown in color). A very good professional detailer recommended it to me. Wipe on with one microfiber cloth, wipe off with another. Seems to do a better job of keeping the rust stains at bay for longer. For tough stains, I use Barkeeper's Friend , great stuff, then the Collinite. Hosing/wiping the s/s with fresh water after cruising makes a big difference between applications.

Good luck and good cleaning!

George

"NevR Dull" for me too, without the waxing afterwards. Twice a season I run the cloth over the rails and it looks new again.

Shelia Shine, ben around for years and works much better than any other cleaner, protector

If you have a can of Buff magic laying around, that works well on Stainless too.

Polished out my SS props nicely.

The stuff is similar to Jewelers Rouge (which is metal polish).

Flitz works very well too.

Thanks guys! I went with the Turtle stuff for cleaning, then waxed it. Looks good. Thanks again for the advice. John
