I'm swapping the 12v Sharp Aquos in my 4260 for a larger HD 120v model. I found the 12v transformer behind a panel in the nearest kitchen cabinet. The wires run behind the cabinet, up and through the headliner, then down a "chase" hollowed out in the wall foam supporting the vinyl, dropping behind the TV mounting. There is a curved valance panel attached to the headliner (bathroom shower is on the other side. It has 3 surround sound speakers attached to it...does anyone know how to remove it? I need the access to run my new 120v power cord, BTW, there is an unused 120v outlet behind the kitchen cabinet panel

i've got an 02 4260 and the curved piece you refer to is held in with some press fit plastic plugs. i believe there is a tool made for prying these things out but i'm not sure if it is any better than what you already have in tools. there may also be some adhesive glueing the vinyl to the headliner. the unused 120v outlet in the cabinet is for the standard location of the tube type TV so you'll be fine. when you have the curved valance down, run some composite TV cables with your power cord so you don't have to open it up again if you ad some newer equipment to go with the TV.

Thanks Vic...I think I will run an HDMI, but it already has most every other type cable already there...RGB, AV, RG59, etc. When I removed the back panel from the galley cabinet, it gave access to 4 outlets, and all the surround sound wiring. Regal sent me a note today on how the panel is attached...either through the small speaker cases of the surround sound system, screws accessed through the grills, or simply by stretching the vinyl away from the valance subpanel to expose the screws..either way, I'll know tomorrow when I play with it. Thanks for your response. Paul
