Been to Dan Felipe many times, the last being about 3 years ago so some things may have changed. Easy drive from Mexicalli. They have a new marina that really is not much more than a four sided rock wall and be careful in your boat because there is a very bad hogback running east to west in the middle of the marina that is not visable at high tide but will eat your prop...it did mine. Lots of RV places with the best being called Oscar's I believe. It is an old one but very nice and it is on the north side of town. He even has a WWII amphibous duck that will launch your boat and retrieve it from the beach for 20.00. If in doubt just ask anyone in town about the guy that has that tractor rig they called a duck and they will direct you to his campground. Nice guy. If you fish the only thing you will find in close is Corbina. Best place to fish is 23 miles straight out or east at Consig Roca, a 300 foot tall pinnacle surrounded by lots of rocks and fish. You can see it from town There is one other boat launce at a hotel south of town that I forgot the name of but it is narrow and sandy and not much good. Remember in S.F. there are great tide fluctuations and most of the close in anchored boats are sitting in mud at various times of the day. Fun place and the place to stay is the Marina Hotel, very nice with two pools and good food. Have fun and let us know how it went.
