As I am sanding the old sikens off my teak wood it is turning grey. What happens is, as the sander hits the old finish it takes it off, then it looks like it should when freshly sanded, then as the sander continues across the piece, the freshly sanded part starts turning grey as the sander continues to work.
I am using 80 grit with a 5" makita. I have refinished a lot of teak over the years and have never seen this before. I tried to put a coat of sikens on one piece and it looks like hell where it is grey.
Any suggestions and ideas are greatly appreciated.
