I don't know about anyone else, but Santa NEVER, EVER forgets to throw in a few hundred bucks in gift certificates or some cool gadget for the boat. This year Nada. Squat, Diddly, Nada, Zero, Sayonara.

Is it just me?

None here either but then again we just buy whatever we want when we need it! All MJ wanted from Santa was a new vacuum and that's what she got!

The tree had a few boat related items this year. Hats and shirts with boat name and a few cruising guides. The real damage was done at the NY boat show...

Sounds like we have some bad girls here . :) :)

John........How bad was the damage ???

Well, not as bad as buying a new boat but the Admiral felt that I should have a new helm seat. I swear they must be gold plated somewhere!

On a positive side, with auto-pilot and the fact that the seat reclines I can take a nap while underway now.

John, lets face it, the admiral is downsizing. I remember you saying you installed the thruster to help the bride with docking. Now she gets an auto pilot. What kind of hel seat did she pick out?

Lets face it, soon Jake wll be sleeping in your berth.

"John, lets face it, the admiral is downsizing."

That's cruel.

The proper term is right sizing!

John,
Did you trade in your present boat for the new one? Dave (current sea) has been looking at that model.

Walter

We didn't get a new boat Walter, just a new helm seat.

The wife had thoughts of going larger but I talked her out of it for now. We really can't find anything that gives us much more room than what we have now while keeping the low fuel burn and great cruise speed. What I'm trying to say is we really like what we have now and with just us 2 plus Jake why go bigger?

As for Dave, pull the trigger already! You will NOT be sorry!

Very possible Chris but she's not ready to solo yet so I have some time left....

As for the helm seat...

(We got the white one and it reclines)

Would have liked to have gone with a high back but then the few times each year I use the bridge cover would have been tough.
