Sarasota Christmas Boat Parade

Did anyone else go to this? What a disappointment it was! The boats were to staggered apart, and non of them actually made it down to the correct turn around at Marina Jacks. It was a joke, too bad because years ago it was fun to watch. Oh well, maybe next year will be better, I hope!

Was there and wished I had actually stayed home. Left when the 3rd boat started in. Just couldn't get into it this year. Lets hope for next year.

Sad to hear. It used to be pretty big. It seemed to go down hill after the one year it was very cold and windy. And after most of the bars and restaurants in the Quay closed down.

The Peace River parade was a bummer as well. I actually thought about hitting the Sarasota next yr instead but may reconsider. Is it the economy or what?

The Isles SNBC parade had 50 entries as of last week.

This is always a nice parade.

It was dissapointing. I think the economy has something to do with it. The boats didnt go all the way into the Marina, they turned around in front of the restaurant. I guess we should be thankful some boats participated.Maybe we should plan on decorating our boats up and filling the thermos with some Irish Coffee and having a good time showing off our yachts!
