I have an '85 SR260 w 'new' (2001) engine - 288hp 350 and outdrive Alpha 1 gen 2.
Someone on another forum was asking about a '92 Four Winns Martinique not being able to achieve more than 25knots. This boat has a single volvo penta 280HP with OMC drive. The specs on this boat say it can cruise at 25knots and has a top speed of 34 knots!
It looks like these two boats are about the same weight and have the same engine set up.
How is this possible??
