Yep,SLW is right. I guess I had the impression the headroom at the helm was higher because I never have had a problem moving around or docking.
 
Something to consider the deadrise of 330 1995 vintage is 17* and the 310 is 23*

Exactly what I do, though I have never had a problem docking her when sitting. If I do stand I just lean over a bit, not a real issue.

One difference I have noticed between ours and a 1997 and 1999 docked near us is the forward berth. Ours in wider. Not sure what they did, I think the padding on the sides is thicker and wider, but the 97 and 99 lost width in the V-berth. I also prefer the u-shaped galley lounge in ours.

<I have the same boat> Are both your fuel tanks 108 gal? My Strb is 108, but the port is 117 <225 total>. A little odd as the genset pulls from the srb tank. You'd think that would be the bigger tank. I'm sure it probably has something to do with the space where the tanks would fit.

Also, did you make the swap to 4 bladed probs or did you get it that way. I have 3 and wonder if the change to 4 blades is worth it.

Genset desire has a lot to do with how far north you are. I'm in So. FL. I've put 950 hours on mine in 5 years. Air Conditioning is a good thing here.
 
you get more speed out of 3 bladers, but smoother operation out of the 4 bladers
 
OK Golfman, we've pretty much told you to go out and buy yourself a 330DA. So how's that coming? :)
 
4 bladers came with the boat, 3 blades one were in the cabin. We just had the 4 bladed one reconditioned and the boat is running strong, hit almost 4500 RPM WOT.

I do not know about the tanks, but....
the port side always seems to take more fuel and she lists a bit more to the port side. This could explain it.

How would I check?
 
I put B&M pontoon boat seats in my 89 30' Sundancer. Two corner style seats can be arranged to make an L or set opposite for so people face each other and socialize. And when the sunset is nice, we turn them around the facing aft. I love the flexibility. I used a full length corner and a cut down corner although you could mate a corner and an standard.
 
Just purchased a new 2007 320DA and we think it's perfect for our family. we have two girls, 7 & 9. i searched for 8 months and kept returning to the 320. we are happy with the purchase.
 
I had a 94 330 but I really would prefer the 34DA if I was to have a choice. It's really a much nicer boat.
 
JimDavi,Prescott is great place to boat and eat i.e. Muddywaters.Just need to remove Ice.I just traded my 2004 Searay 320,It was a great boat for us at the time,you will enjoy.

Given the buyers market that exists today you can probably move up a few model years more than you may have originally expected. My first boat was a 2003 320 Sundancer. We LOVED that boat but outgrew it in 2 seasons. We bought a 2006 40 Sundancer new two years ago and now have that for sale as we look to move up to a Sedan Bridge. Our 320 had the 350 MPI I/B V-Drives....an all around great boat that I would highly recommend.
 
Believe it or not my 2004 Sundancer had two 5.0 liter engines and did 39.9 mph,never was a dog for hole shot,and a great cruiser.Cant go wrong with a 320.
 
I have a 30ft. 86 weekender lots of room in the cockpit draws only 2.6 of water great for the bay. Also has a geat ride.
 
You can't go wrong with the 330. It's small enough to be easily handled and big enough for a weekend without getting cabin fever. I dock a few slips down from Greg. You "WANT" four blades. They lift the arse and deliver a much smoother ride. Greg docks w/ no throttle assist. I have three blades and have to bump the throttles to maneuver on occasion. My 99 is shy 6-8 inches of headroom at the helm. I'm 6'4". With 6.2's I burn about 22GPH at 22Kt at 3800 RPM cruise in 1' chop. Easily stays on plane at 18 to 19 knots at 3500 RPM. Fuel economy is better here, however, w/o floscans, the MPG may or may not be better. I should have more accurate fuel reading this summer for local conditions.
 
For those members that own or did own the 320 what was your opinion on the v-berth space and comfort? I am over 6' tall and have seen reports that the v-berth space does not provide adequate length. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.

the one thing we didn't like about our 320 was the V-berth. I'm only 5'10" and it was too short for me...otherwise a great boat.
 
Our 1995 330DA has a huge V-Berth. i am 6'3" with plenty of leg room. I can send you some pics if you like.

I sleep on the starboard side with plenty of room. The Mrs, at 5'2", sleeps on the port side and we do not even bump into each other. We have a king bed at home and both enjoy our bed space.
 
I have a 280 DA 1990. I bought it in August. I love it. It is single engine but I love it. The early nineties sundancers are built on the same hull as the 300 DA of later years. The newer 280 DA are narrower in the beam. MarineMax can give you a lot of information about sea rays.
