For some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to bury the filler cap for my steering. I have to unscrew and lift my dash to access and add fluid. I remember seeing an extension tube a few years ago it added just a couple of inches with a threaded end on one side and a cap on the other that could be drilled into the helm. I have searched high and low and can't find anything like this anywhere. I even called them and the tech I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about but I know I saw this. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or do I just have to make it myself?

They do exist. Had something like that for my oil injection on my outboard motor. Worked great but was so long ago, I can't remember what it is actually called or where I bought it.
Edit: Found this online. A bit expensive but shop around and you can probably do better.

I think I may have to simply make it although I know I have seen it a few years ago.
I believe it's just 1/2" NPT fittings it really shouldn't be a big deal to make I just don't want it to leak!
