Sealand Vacuflush question

I have to throw my 2 bits in with BillyIII. Just spent the week end with 2 friends on the water. To say we put my new Raritan Elegance through its paces would be a gross understatement. Not even the hint of a clog and it didn't use enough water to do the dishes.

For the money it's at least as good as anything I've ever used, seen, heard about or read about.

Jim they are attractive because they don't use much water so you can easily get 2 to 3 times the number of flushes for the same size tank. Unless you move up to Raritans Elegance which is what I did simpler unit. It will eat anything you put into it.

Before I go to all the effort of continued troubleshoot, potentially replacing costly ball shaft seals, vacuum switches, o-rings, etc...should I jsut switch out to a new Raritan? Seems like a much better system, and a simple install to boot.

I added a switch to my toilets for secondary safety.
I broke the wires to the vaccum tank and wired an on-off switch next to each toilet. Now as you enter the toilet , flip switch and let the vacuum build, do your thing, then flush. When leaving toilet, turn off the switch and even if the bowl ran dry, the pump cannot cycle.

I've been using this system for three years on my boat with FIVE heads and absolutley no problems to date.
Prior to this, I'd have someone go listen for cycling every hour or two, beause landlubbers are notorious for leaving the bowl dry and allowing pump to endlessly cycle.
