The seals are back in Shinnecock. Can be seen at low tide in the east cut.

Nice weekend on the water. Ocean was a bit rough for fishing.
 
I fished Sunday off of Montauk, it was rough but fishable off the point. I heard a few guys on the radio talking about seals in the area and that they showed up ear
ly this year.
 
that's what I thought but wasn't sure.

how was the fishing? I'm still trying to get out...every weekend's been a blow.
 
It was slow, just had one short bass off the point although I was marking all kinds of fish. Only saw a couple fish caught on the boats around us too. Ended up going over by Fisher's Island for a couple hours late and had steady blackfish action but no keepers there either. I'm done now, boat came out yesterday.

I'm hoping to get out this weekend...I'm in thru 12/15
