Searay laguna

Any feedback on a 1988 20ft Searay Laguna center console. Looking for a center console to take my grandson fishing.

Based on age you have to think that there will be rot somewhere on the boat unless kept in pristine conditions.

Stringes, floors, gas tanks, etc....

Boats were good when they came out, good hull form, how they hold up depends on how it was used and cared for.

Also the motor(s) were of good breed, Mercury, but age has it way with things.

I would survey anything you buy.

What and how was it used before also has a bearing on it's overall health. Take some pics of the engine. How many hrs on the clock.

For a older fishing boat, especially if it is used in salt water, I would look for a make, such as Key West, that doesn't use any wood in its construction. JMHO
