Sadly it has become clear the season is almost over. This weekend I change the oil and filters in both motors and Benny. I started taking supplies off the boat. At this point all I need to do is pump out and drop it off for haul out. I will try to use the boat next Sunday and then I think I'm done. Saturday I have to move my daughter so no chance to use the boat but if the weather is good maybe we will sleep on board one more night.
Anyone else giving any thought to the inevitable?

Nope, I have another 2 months before I haul

I’ve got at least another 6 weeks before I start that stuff and at least 3 more full weekends on the boat planned.

I heard the marina posted a sign saying you have to be out of our slips by the 15th not that this is the reason I hauling it just feels like it's time.

Yes, they did, the lessor is a greedy person who doesn't give a crap about keeping his customers happy.

I'm am wintering there this year, and my haul-out is scheduled for the week of November 19

Season is just getting started on Lake Powell. The crowds are gone, the weather is cooling and the winds are lying down.
Life is good for the next few months. It's like having the lake to our self. All the good coves are available and you don't have to worry about a wake boat ruining your trip.

Move to Texas
All we are doing is changing from shorts to Levi's.
Swimming get's really quick after the water goes below 70 degree's

Sadly I think I will haul this Sunday this may be the earliest ever for me!
I have a lot going on I have plans the weekend of the 12th so I can't use it then and I will be away most of next week so I don't know if I will have time to use the boat Columbus day weekend. I'm thinking I may take a Corvette trip for Columbus day and maybe winterize the boat. It has been a good season I don't feel too bad about pulling early.

Some of the best boating is in September and October. The waters are much less crowded, it stays warm and the nights are comfortable.

Winterizing today in the southern tier NY. Pulled out of Lake Ontario, and will be heading for a new adventure in Lake Erie next year. Lake Erie and the Niagara river. Is it spring time yet? :)

I dropped my boat off today to be hauled maybe tomorrow. If all goes well I will taking a 350 mile boat trip with a friend on wed and returning by car on Friday, I will get my final thrill for the season. I have lots of things to do for the next couple of weeks so I wouldn't have much time to enjoy the boat so it just made sense to wrap things up early.

My son surprised me by coming home from college this past Saturday and announced during dinner that he came home to go fishing on Sunday. We went out with a couple of his cousins and had a wonderful time. I even snapped a couple of pictures to save the memory. With the boat being used very little this year, this last trip was the best trip!

It was a horrible boating season this year on the Ohio River here. Early in the season we had the flooding and debris which kept the boat from being used. We had about a month between August and September that was nice. Now here we are hauling again for the winter. I am scheduled to be pulled the first weekend of November. I may still get one quick trip up the river before calling it quits. Not happy. Maybe it's time to move south!

This has been the worst fall I can remember, rain, wind and cold weather.

Summer weather, other than the two weeks we were away, also sucked.

Short summer here. Started a month late because of the weather (ice) and ended a month early at the marinas because of the low water level. Many people believe the lake level was mismanaged by the Hudson River Regulating District. Lake never filled up.
