Wife and i are going back and forth on which style to buy. We see pros and cons for each style. Our primary concern is that we have 2 little ones...3.5 and 2 years old. Motor yacht affords very good cabin and salon space. Bad side is the small door (similar to an express cruiser), no real view of the water if in the salon, and you have to go down stairs to swim off the platform. However, once those stairs are navigated, getting around in the cockpit and salon area is relatively easy.

Sedan Bridge style has the nice open cockpit at water level, making swimming with the kids easier, lets you feel closer to the water, and the salon has the nice sliding glass door and great water views. Also nice about the sliding doors are that you can put the kids in for their nap with a video, sit out on the cockpit and you can still see each other. Bad side is that the stairs to the bridge are steep for the kids but that will get easier with time as they grow...??

So what do you all think...would you go for a sedan bridge or motor yacht to be kid friendly?

Also...one of our most prefered features (silly as it sounds), is that the guest stateroom have a bed that convert from one large bed to two smaller single beds. This way, our two kids can sleep in their own bed but it could be converted to a double of we had a couple stay overnight with us. The 2006 silverton 28 sport bridge had this feature but the meridians did not. I know some of the carvers and the regal 3880 (smaller than we want) have this feature...anyone know any others that are built that way in the 2000-2004 model years?
