I am looking to get the Sirius Weather system for my E120 Raymarine. Has anyone had any experience with the system and have any suggestions as to price and if it is worth it or not?

I just had the system installed on my C80. Works great and have had no problems with it. I don't remember what I paid for it but the monthly fee is about $39.00. I believe service can be stopped for any off season.

I went to a Raymarine seminar last weekend. I thought it was great. I did meet a guy last summer who had it and he loved it. We are seasonal boater here in Ohio and the service can be stopped during the winter. This might start some controversy but if you don't boat at night or in fog I would rather have it then radar, especially on Lake Erie.

Good luck

the reciever unit is MAP priced at $699, I'm not sure if that includes the antenna. Niles...are you going to the one this weekend...it's about planning a trip to the North Channel.

Ram. We were but as you may know it has been cancelled due too the weather. I called and tlked to Mr Sima and he told me they are going to do it next weekend 3/18. We are going to be there, will you be there?

Thanks
NIles

I'm there every day of the week...probably not on Saturday LOL. He is a good speaker though, you will get alot out his seminar. I can't really take the time off to take a trip like that, although I'd like to.

Thanks, I appreciate your responses. I do believe in the Radar, we do alot of nighttime boating, not alot of fog but the whole package seems to be a great idea. Storms can come up very quickly on the chesapeake and it would be nice to have when wondering what kind of weather is in the area.

RamSport, I thought that was going to be your answer.:) We should chat sometime!
