Does anyone who has stayed at Shadows Marina care to share their review?

I have not stayed there, it looks very nice, but the transient rate is too high!

I have not stayed there either but I pulled in to check it out on Sunday, it looks very nice. I don't know what they charge but the docks looked great.

Never heard of the place. Where is it located?

It's a new marina near the new walking bridge in Peekskill. I just heard about so I was looking for at during my last jetski marathon :}

It's just south of Poughkeepsie, not Peekskill

It certainly looks like it has plenty of outside dock space, both parallel to the river and perpendicular to the river, although I'm not sure of the depth on the side section.

I always confuss them they both start with a P.

I believe it is a resturant that just opened by the same owners of Torches in Newburgh.
Did not know it was a marina.

Has anybody eaten at the restaurant yet? Shadows on the Hudson? We are planning on heading up there this weekend.

$3 a foot is too high? What do other Hudson river marina's charge? I guess I'm just used to the LI sound where that would toward the low end of prices.

Rondout Yacht Basin, which has a pool, picnic area, kids area, snack bar is $2.00/ft.

The restaurant has been there for years and is reputed to be good. Friends there recently on a 44DA said the current getting in and out was a bear and unusually challenging.

A friend went there for an over-nighter. He said the restaurant was great and the dock-side service was top-notch. I opted not to join him since they don't have a pool or a playground. They didn't take the shuttle to the walking bridge but they did take the high speed ferry to Newburgh water front.

If a pool is not a priority, what's the harm in giving it a try?

So they have a shuttle to the walking bridge? I was trying to figure out a way to go see that. Who runs the shuttle?

Just thought I'd write back and give my $0.02. We had a great time, food at the restaurant was great, as was the service. The shuttle to the bridge was not running, because it was late in the season, but they provided a complimentary shuttle from the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. I was not planning on spending the night there, but we were having a good time and it wound up getting late, so we decided to stay. The docks are new and in wonderful shape, they are held in place by some sort of weighted blocks, no piles. Keith, the dockmaster, was friendly and helpful. I would highly recomend this place...
