Shaft Alignment

I have had both transmissions off the engines this year and moved the engine mounts in doing this. After launch I understand I should wait a little "settling time" for the 42 Ft ChrisCraft Catalina hull to get to normal shape before doing the alignment. Any suggestions as to how long I should wait?
