Hi all,
I have a 1985 Wellcraft 260 Aft with a (new)rebuilt 350/260hp Mercruiser. I have about 30 hours on this new engine. The shifter and cables were also replaced with new ones.
The problem I'm having is when I shift into reverse, there is a grinding noise while shifting from neutral. Shifting from neutral to forward works great as does forward to neutral, the only problem is neutral to reverse.
Any help trouble shooting this problem is appreciated.
